As a design strategist and researcher with over 15 years of professional experience in social design, sustainability, and systems thinking, my career bridges academia and practice, spanning research, education, and project leadership on both local and international levels.

Previously, as associate researcher I led the Social Design Hub at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest, where I developed practice-based research programmes and international partnerships. I am also co-founder and Board Member of the Social Design Network, a global community advancing social design practice worldwide.

For over 6 years now I’m consulting foundations, municipalities and non-profits on how design can support positive transformation for regenerative futures.

In parallel with my teaching and facilitation work, I have led and contributed to multiple EU-funded research projects such as Co-Design for Transitions, Change Agents, and Future Traditions, and I’ve authored and edited numerous publications. These include the co-edited volume Change Agents: Blueprints for Interinstitutional Collaborations in Social Design (Fehér et al., 2024), and Designing Transformative Change (Fehér, Csernák, 2025), the peer-reviewed proceedings of the Social Design Network conference and Fields of Presence - Methodoligical Manual. My doctoral dissertation, Resilient Communities – Opportunities of Social Design (Fehér, 2019), explored the long-term potential of social design in marginalised rural contexts. My work has been presented at educational and cultural institutions in the USA, UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Estonia, Germany, China, Israel, Sri Lanka, and Austria, as well as at major international conferences including ELIA, Cumulus, the Swiss Design Network, Dwell on Design, Better World by Design, and the Service Design Network conferences. I regularly teach and lead workshops across Europe and the U.S., with a strong focus on socially engaged, participatory, and place-based design.

Across all my roles—as researcher, designer, strategist, and educator—I’m committed to continuous learning, co-creating collaborative processes, and integrating regenerative thinking to expand the boundaries of what design can do in service of more just futures.
